Eternal Architectural Design has designed the interiors of Gaoping Zhongshuge Library in Gaoping, China.

This 1,500-square-meter bookstore takes "a museum of ancient architecture" as its core design concept, a tribute to the over 1,500 precious cultural heritage sites scattered across Gaoping.

Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves form continuous, wave-like arched profiles, echoing the rhythmic layering of traditional Gaoping residential roofs and their overlapping tiles.

Wrapped around a central atrium, the shelves create a ring circulation – while mirrored ceilings and reflective floors transform the space into an endless sea of books, where history and reading converge in an immersive experience.
