Charged Voids has designed AVG Modulars in Panchkula, India.

AVG Modulars is a manufacturing, showroom and office building for a kitchen, wardrobe and modular furniture company in Panchkula.

Located within a polluted and visually compromised industrial area, the building turns inward through green buffers and a controlled envelope.

Revised FAR, setbacks and mandatory fire-tender movement resulted in an elongated linear footprint – while a diagonal grid, combined with sectional shifts and double- and triple-height spaces, disrupts this constraint, creating helical movement and visual expansion through the display showroom.

As a result, factory, showroom and office functions are sectionally organised, while exposed brick, Mandana stone and cavity-wall construction provide durability and comfort.
