Foster + Partners has designed Cast for Wästberg.

Designed in collaboration with Wästberg, the Swedish lighting manufacturer, Cast is a compact spotlight system defined by a magnetic, interchangeable lens that allows light to be angled with precision and ease.

"The name Cast refers both to the high-pressure aluminium die-casting manufacturing process and to the quality of light it produces," said Foster + Partners.

Within the spotlight typology, often shaped by exposed mechanics and technical expression, Cast integrates performance and engineering into a single, coherent volume using soft geometry, controlled proportions and concealed mechanics without compromising on performance.
