Allen Kaufmann Objects has designed the Dado Series.

Dado Series is a family of tool-free solid timber furniture by Allen Kaufmann Objects, the object-design branch of the Berlin architecture studio Allen Kaufmann Architekten.

The series includes shelving systems and the Dado x Table, based on a patented interlocking joinery system by Justin Allen and presented at Berlin Design Week 2026.

Each piece assembles without screws, glue, metal fittings, or tools, using precisely milled timber components that slide and lock together.

Built from a limited set of repeatable parts, the system transforms a single jointing principle into diverse furniture typologies, treating furniture as architecture at a smaller scale.
