Aptdotapt has designed the interiors of Cafe On-Site in Zhejiang, China.
Cafe On-Site (Kai-Chang) is conceived as a spatial stage where energy unfolds through movement, interaction, and time.
Located in Zhejiang, China, the cafe transforms everyday rituals into choreographed sequences: doors slide, tables glide, curtains shift and displays circulate among people.
This project translates an abstract notion of a field into a series of kinetic gestures in which bodies, objects and space continuously reconfigure their relationships.
A semi-enclosed front facade filters the intensity of the street – while the rear dissolves into a park landscape.
Here, architecture is not static form, but an evolving performance of presence and connection.
