Shin Aoki & Partners has designed Green House in Tokyo, Japan.

Green House is a compact multi-level house in Tokyo, designed to expand spatial perception and connect with its surrounding greenway.

"We designed an organic, spatially layered house on the site facing the greenway in Tokyo," said Shin Aoki & Partners.

By setting the building back from the street, a small front garden and an outdoor terrace were added, thus extending the planting of the greenway.

"Using copper and wood – materials that age gracefully – we made a home that celebrates the passage of time," added Shin Aoki.
