Manu Bano and Laura V Lasagabaster have designed the interiors of Colima 162 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Colima 162 is a luxury concept store set within a historic 1919 townhouse in Roma Norte.

This project is conceived as a minimal, non-invasive intervention that preserves and amplifies the existing architecture.

A restrained material palette allows a series of hand-hammered recycled copper pieces – crafted by artisans in Santa Clara del Cobre – to define the spatial and conceptual narrative.

Operating simultaneously as furniture and display, these sculptural elements introduce light, texture and continuity throughout the space, resulting in a retail environment where contemporary design coexists with the building's historical character and local craftsmanship.
