Mazaua by Manuel Cervantes Estudio

Manuel Cervantes Estudio has designed Mazaua in Valle de Bravo, Mexico.

Mazaua is a network of independent buildings embedded within the mountainous landscape of Valle de Bravo, Mexico.

Conceived as a master plan for vacation homes, this project evolves into a dispersed architectural system that prioritises environmental integration over formal presence.

Each pavilion – dedicated to specific activities such as dining, wellness or exercise – is carefully positioned to preserve vegetation, respect topography and follow natural water flows.

Built primarily in wood, the architecture enhances sensory connections through light, texture and atmosphere.

Linked by open-air paths, Mazaua creates a continuous spatial experience where architecture becomes an extension of the forest.
