Diller Scofidio + Renfro has designed Al-Mujadilah Center and Mosque for Women in Doha, Qatar.

Al-Mujadilah is the first contemporary purpose-built women's mosque in the Muslim world, created to foster a society where all women are engaged, their participation is recognised and their concerns and perspectives help shape contemporary Islamic thought and discourse.

This project reinterprets traditional mosque architecture through a contemporary lens, seamlessly bringing together programs of worship and education.

Al-Mujadilah is situated in Education City, a 12-square-kilometre campus in Doha comprised of educational and research institutes.
