Tant A Temps Design has designed the interiors of Laibei 1087 in Shaanxi, China.
Laibei 1087 sits in the Xi'an Stele Forest Museum, named after the forest's founding year of 1087 AD.
Led by Tant A Temps Design, this conservation project transforms a Republic-era building into a cultural hub for traditional experiences, creative goods and study tours.
The space provides speciality coffee, Stele Forest-themed signature drinks and light meals, as well as a professional rubbing experience area where visitors can create traditional rubbing works by hand.
Guided by "minimum intervention," Laibei 1087 preserves all original features – every new addition is detachable and reversible, achieving a perfect fusion of antiquity and modernity.
