India Mahdavi

French architect and designer India Mahdavi is the founder of a multi-disciplinary studio based in Paris.

Mahdavi was born in Iran, and she attributes her signature vivid colour schemes to her Persian-Egyptian heritage and her nomadic childhood: as a child she lived in the United States, Germany and France.

Before settling in Paris, she studied at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design in New York, and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Founded in 2000, her studio works in the fields of furniture, scenography, interior design and architecture.
