Mette Hay
Mette Hay is the creative director and co-founder of Danish design brand Hay.
She co-founded Hay, which produces furniture, lighting and accessories for both the consumer and contract markets, with her husband Rolf Hay and businessman Troels Holch Povlsen in 2002.
With the goal of bringing affordable and good quality design to a broad market, Hay has grown immensely, now operating in more than 50 countries with a collection that has grown to include a broad range of products from tableware and textiles to stationery and storage.
Hay Accessories, together with the Hay Mini Market and Kitchen Market, have helped to establish Hay as a global brand at the forefront of product design. Hay was named one of the 50 most newsworthy forces in world design in the 2017 Dezeen Hot List.
