Shortlisted for retail interior of the year at Dezeen Awards 2019, Aesop Sounds Hannam Signature Store by Mlkk studio occupies the ground floor of a newly built small development called Hannam Sounds.

The building has a dominating cold, grey brick facade, which gave Mlkk Studio the opportunity to create a warm and cosy interior using reclaimed red brick and organic shapes to offset the static coldness. Using different materials creates a dialogue with the architecture and effortlessly blends the interior and the exterior, while also creating a visual contrast that draws pedestrians’ attention along the street.
