Shortlisted for furniture design of the year at Dezeen Awards 2019, Tense is a flat-packed furniture collection by Swiss studio Panter & Tourron.

The Tense collection, which was presented at Milan design week, is a research project that explores the evolution of living in a time of global mobility and fluid identity. Weighing less than 20 kilograms, the collection can be easily transported and assembled.

The collection by the Lausanne-based studio includes a table, chair, pendant light, wall light and screen dividers. All products are lightweight and hold their shape solely using tensile strength.
