Liang Architecture Studio focused on providing natural light in its transformation of a home in Jinhua, China.

The project involved dismantling the floor slabs and rooftop along the central axis of the home to divide the building into two parts: the front and rear blocks, which are separated by a pre-existing structural beam.

A new core area introduces natural light into the home and an architectural facade allows sunlight to change and move throughout the space. The studio describes this as "luxury" daylight.

This project has been longlisted in the house interior project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
