AIRLAB has 3D-printed a stainless steel pavilion for Singapore's Gardens by the Bay.

The studio has created a fully-functional space-frame structure made of 3D-printed components in stainless-steel. The pavilion advances a new era of highly resource-efficient designs and unprecedented lightweight architecture.

This entire digitally-designed and fabrication process minimises wastage in construction, increases structural efficiency, and creates a positive impact on sustainability.

AirMesh's primary design ethos is to also present a bold method of design, construction, and leverage 3D-printing technology to blend structure with nature. The pavilion delivers a seamless indoor and outdoor experience for users to enjoy framed views even when inside the structure.

This project has been longlisted in the installation design project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
