Rockwell Group has designed Alphabet Bar and Cafe, which is housed within Moxy Hotel in New York's East Village.

The neighbourhood is where rock 'n' roll, renegade art, LGBTQ+ activism and generations of immigrants all merge to create an American counterculture.

Conceived by Rockwell Group as a vertical timeline, the hotel draws inspiration from various eras in East Village history, from the earliest settlers to the punk era to today.

The hotel comprises 286 design-driven bedrooms, co-working spaces, tech-savvy amenities, cultural programming and Alphabet Bar and Cafe.

This project has been longlisted in the bar interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
