De Vorm has designed a collection of chairs based on the classic school chair, chosen for being functional, simple and no-nonsense.

These principles are not only reflected in the way it looks, but also in how it's made. The chair is produced from recycled steel and plastic bottles.

With Hale, De Vorm and Ivan Kasner have brought PET felt technology to the next level. The designers managed to turn a complex manufacturing process into a single moulding action.

The smart design, backed by material choice, makes Hale a sustainable, lightweight and comfortable chair for commercial interiors.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
