Wall House
by Abin Design Studio

Edmund Sumner

Abin Design Studio has created a secure and noise-free home in India, helping the owner escape the bustle of the neighbourhood.

Located at a busy intersection in Bansberia, the residence features a two-storey boundary wall to ensure privacy and security.

The house is designed as an inward-looking series of masses with internal courtyards to bring in light and ventilation.

The transition from outside to inside provides a spatial experience as one encounters open-to-sky, shaded and covered areas in a harmonious sequence.

This project has been longlisted in the urban house category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
