Here is a new rendering of architect Amanda Levete of Future Systems' installation for the London Design Festival this September (see our earlier story for more details and images). The piece, made of Corian, is part of the Size + Matter project that also includes Zaha Hadid's Urban Nebula (see previous story).

It's not very sunny back here in London but we're smiling nonetheless, as we've reached a major milestone.
We've been on holiday for the past ten days - thanks to Chantelle Lue for looking after dezeen for us while we were away.
And we've returned to find that at some point during the last week we welcomed our millionth visitor... we've now had 1,025,000 visitors since the start of the year.
We've also galloped up Technorati's popularity ranking of all the blogs in the world and are now well within the top 2,500. Thanks once again to all our readers!
