Patrick Lam is the founder and creative director of Hong Kong based architecture and interior design practice Sim-Plex Design Studio.
Founded by Lam in 2017, the studio aims to expand the possibilities of limited space through spatial transformation and art imageries in high density environments. The works of Sim-Plex also promote that micro design could be responsive to macro social issues and context.
Lam is an architect, interior designer and artist. He is also a lecturer at Hong Kong Design Institute, after completing two master degrees in both architecture & fine arts respectively in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Lam is the author and contributor of several books including, Vertical Living: Compact Architecture for Urban Spaces, and Small Home: Layout and Decorating.
Recent Sim-Plex projects include Pets Playground and Smart Zendo in Hong Kong. Smart Zendo is the winner of small interior of the year in Dezeen Awards 2020.
