Cocoon is a decorative pendant celebrating craft and pushing the boundaries of new and sustainable technologies.
A collaboration between designers HagenHinderdael and fabricators Forust, it is made of 3d printed sawdust, giving new life to a discarded resource and transforming it into an organic, technologically advanced light from wood waste. The lighting technology in Cocoon is integrated and pushes the envelope of sustainability further using OLED light panels that are slimline, easy on the eyes, and easy on the earth. Elegant in form and future forward in its ambition, Cocoon creates a circular economy light of the now.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
