Epic Iran at The V&A
by Gort Scott

Ed Reeve

The Epic Iran exhibition at the V&A in London explores 5,000 years of Iranian art, design and culture and is set in immersive scenography designed by Gort Scott.

The exhibition features over 300 objects from ancient and contemporary Iran. The design is based on the concept of The Exhibition as City, influenced by cityscape paintings within the Shahnameh, the ‘Book of Kings’ (the national Epic of Iran). Following intensive research by the practice, the exhibition design is conceived as a journey between spaces of very different atmospheres.

This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
