Jeff Hargrove

Karin Carlander is a textile artist and weaver who established her studio in 1988.

In 2014 I launched my own machine woven brand. The designer's goal was to bring my hand-woven designs into a contemporary context and create a transparent brand with as few intermediaries as possible between the artistic process and the end-user. The brand is based on three simple principles: sustainability, multifunctionality and a mix-and-match colour palette. All textiles in the collection are woven of linen yarn spun from flax naturally grown and fermented on the ground with zero water consumption in France. The brand is certified Masters of Linen.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
