The permanent exhibitions are arranged according to the concept of chronotop.

Moving through the exhibitions, one moves through both different places and spaces in the city and through time periods that give the essence of the city in the museum as well as connects the museum to the city’s boroughs and people. The Copenhagen Panorama is a total installation that speaks to all senses and revolves around the 24m2 large city model of Copenhagen, as it appears in 2020. The elliptical 6x4 metre casted model in the scale 1:750 is placed centrally in the room.

This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
