WeWork 6001 Cass Avenue
by WeWork

Ben Gancsos

Designed by Albert Kahn, the "architect of Detroit", 6001 Cass Avenue was originally designed as the Cadillac Sales and Serving Building.

Largely representative of Detroit's resurgence as a technology centre and not far from Detroit’s Tech Town, 6001 Cass Avenue was redesigned with reverence for its historical significance and updated as a collaborative community workspace. With the construction challenges of restoring the building to its original splendour and retaining historic landmark requirements, WeWork sought to highlight the building’s original details through thoughtful programming and interior design gestures to provide modern amenities in a complementary fashion.

This project has been longlisted in the large workspace interior category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
