Shortlisted for Dezeen Awards emerging design studio of the year, A Space is a New York-based design and art studio, founded by Anna Aristova and Roza Gazarian in 2016.

The essence of each of our creations is a sense of a vast open space, where ideas, thoughts and feelings spontaneously arise, evolve through experimentation and ultimately manifest as a functional art piece. Each piece beckons to look beyond mere form and material and to connect to the primordial nature of the elements. The studio's work is a constant balance of opposites – improvisation and thoughtful planning, intuition and knowledge, organic and geometric.
