So Architecture has designed Blank Canvas in Madrid, Spain.
This project was designed for the prestigious Casa Decor interior design show that takes place every year in Madrid. Under Mies van der Rohe's maxim of "less is more", the studio has configured this 22sqm "blank canvas" with natural materials such as wood, ceramics and linen.
Blank Canvas is a comfortable minimalist space that combines the modern with the classic, following the guidelines of sustainability. For its configuration, Sofía Oliva has based herself on the union between man and nature applied to the creation of her spaces, which promote Feng Shui.
The most eye-catching details are the large cacti – a type of vegetation that is particularly architectural. The designers thought it could give a green touch to the space. However, like everything within the effortlessly curated room, it is just the right amount of organic – natural enough to calm the senses, but simple enough in its form to stay within the minimalist lines.
