Rodic Davidson has designed the Garden Square Apartment Kensington in London, United Kingdom.

This project was the renovation of a Grade II-listed apartment that was the centre point of a Victorian Italianate terrace row, whose architectural and historic interest derives from its unified composition.

The property was in a state of disrepair, altered insensitively throughout its historic use, thus requiring a tailored design response.

Designer Rodic Davidson focused on the reinstatement of original openings and reconfiguration of partitions to provide legibility of historic plan form, including the return of the original ceiling heights.

Modern services are discretely integrated into the new fabric allowing the prominence of original windows, doors and architraves that contribute to the sense of grandeur, alongside the original cornice detailing flooded with natural light.

This project has been longlisted in the apartment interior category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
