Mirzoyan Nastya Bureau has created a striking apartment in a historic building in Kyiv that meets the needs of modern life.

The project is located in an 19th-century house in the historic district of Kyiv. It addresses the idea that a modern home should meet the modern needs of its residents, all the while retaining individual character.

The design is built on a combination of pure lines and contrasts of shapes and textures, with brave colour solutions and compositional combinations.

The apartment encompasses two volumes – the first a sleeping and common area, and the second a space for a ​​kitchen and personal care needs – designed to create a functional and balanced space that avoids unnecessary decorative details.

This project has been longlisted in the small interiors category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
