Metal Flaming in Tobacco Redrying Plant

B+P Architects has designed the Metal Flaming in Tobacco Redrying Plant exhibition in Pingtung City, Taiwan.


This project focuses on the space of the historical architecture that preserves the factory buildings and tobacco equipment, the order of old spatial order in the architecture, the transparency of light from the old windows, and the metal texture of the tobacco equipment reflect each other to form the basic tone of the space.

Three main design areas, with metal as the main axis, read existing textures and knowledge transfer in different space corners and angles while the laboratory passes through the corridor through the old window.

The design of the Metal Flaming in Tobacco Redrying Plant exhibition attempts to maintain and preserve the existing spatial structure, find space gaps and insert the display possibility of reading new and old carriers.


This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
