Studio mk27 has created a luxury hotel in one of the world's most notable archipelagoes that simultaneously provides an opportunity for human connection in splendid isolation.
The project is a luxury resort on Fari Island, which draws on the natural curve of the island as the only built path in the hotel that all other areas span. On the left, the main building and mainstay of the villas sit neatly, while to the right the spa and the common spaces of the village and beach club co-exist to encourage socialising.
The design's architectural lines sit flush with the horizon to create a delicate elegance and harmony with nature, while on the sands the vibrant atmosphere of the common spaces speaks to the innate human desire to connect both with nature and each other.
