Zalacain Wayfinding has designed The Lexi Cinema Wayfinding in London, United Kingdom.

This project is a modern cinematic jewel of London's Kensal Rise.

"For the recently refurbished interiors and extension, we designed a bespoke wayfinding system that is functional, complementary to the new interiors and cost-effective, as this cinema runs as a charity," said designers Zalacain Wayfinding.

The design uses a 'shelf arrow' that narrates the navigation – where its volume gives signs of presence while remaining discreet in size. Specific 'destination modules' were given to each destination to create minimal and playful compositions.

All elements are modular and easy to produce, thus practical and cost-effective. Thanks to the limited use of colour, the signs fit harmoniously within the interiors.

This project has been longlisted in the graphic design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
