McLaren Excell has designed and converted the Camden Workshop in London, United Kingdom.

Completed in 2022, the Camden Workshop is the conversion of a 6,500-square-foot industrial factory building into a future-proof modern family home

The brief was to fully augment and design the space to be fit for adapted living (for one family member) and to also meet the demands of the wider family.

The owners, who are multi-talented and philanthropic, required the workshop to accommodate dedicated hobby and crafting rooms and fit for hosting in large quantities – while also delivering on the desire by the owners for it to be approachable and homely.

This project has been longlisted in the house renovation category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
