Clementine Blakemore Architects has transformed a 19th-century dairy farm in Dorset into the Wraxall Yard holiday homes.

Part of a 250-acre organic farm, the converted stone and brick barns embrace accessible design. A curved path leads to wheelchair-friendly landscaped courtyards, while boardwalks connect to native-planted surroundings.

The five holiday homes prioritise easy circulation, offering wheelchair-accessible features and catering to various disabilities, including visual and hearing impairments.

Blakemore's design is part of a broader endeavour to enhance biodiversity and landscape access, and also includes a community space, workshop and educational smallholding.

This project has been longlisted in the hospitality project category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
