Neutral Projects has designed and built Meadow End in the New Forest, England.
This small project allowed the practice to explore a range of digitally enabled and low-carbon construction techniques and provided the client with a gym, a sauna and a space to relax.
Self-built by Neutral Projects, this project was designed and deployed a kit-of-parts construction system from CNC plywood.
The vertical board-on-board timber rainscreen was installed in pre-assembled panels facilitated by a dynamic jig – itself an assembly of CNC components.
The timber cladding and trellis were conceived as a single facade element supporting an existing mature grape vine and providing some degree of solar shade.
This project has been longlisted in the health and well-being interior category of Dezeen Awards 2024.
