Kitty Lee Architecture has designed the bathroom interiors of Alama House, a Federation cottage in Sydney, Australia.
Inspired by the enduring nature of the original Federation cottage, this project set out to create a home that could adapt to the evolving needs of a growing young family.
At the heart of the house, a serene and generous bathroom was carefully planned to retain a pair of original French doors.
The design balances heritage preservation with contemporary interventions to create a sense of quiet softness and timeless appeal.
Contemporary additions were designed to be distinct yet complementary, creating a thoughtful and sensitive transition between old and new.
This project has been longlisted in the bathroom interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
