Nacho Carbonell has designed the Dune Cabinet for Carpenters Workshop Gallery, an organic-looking cabinet that resembles the bark of a tree.
This project features an exterior made of bark that conceals a smooth, intricate interior with a tree branch growing inside.
Originally inspired by a desert landscape, Dune Cabinet also conjures a topographic exploration depicting diverse land formations.
The work invites the viewer to interact with it by opening the doors to see the inside of the work, which is more subtle and functional than the exterior, featuring different surfaces on which objects can be placed.
This project has been longlisted in the collectible design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
