OWIU has redesigned the Glass Ridge House in Los Angeles, California.

Glass Ridge House is a residential home that was originally designed by Ray Kappa and has been renovated and redesigned by OWIU.

The structure of the home featured an almost effortless dialogue with its surroundings, where nature wasn’t just a backdrop but an active participant in its design.

Even in its neglected state, the relationship between the home and the landscape had matured into something deeply organic, as if the house had been "cradled by time, rather than simply standing in it," said OWIU.

"The space carried an energy of quiet permanence. We...had been looking for a house like this for a while and finally found one that checked more than conventional boxes; it felt fated."

This project has been longlisted in the house renovation category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
