Ellsinger has designed the Hee House in Hee, Sweden.
Hee House is a city escape cabin just south of Hamburgsund on the Swedish West Coast, where the plot is relatively large, flat, and situated on a naturally rich piece of land with pines, rocks and meadow grass.
"The prevailing and, at times, harsh climate has greatly influenced the design and material choices," said Ellsinger.
The house is oriented in a straight north-south direction, closed off to neighbours and road to the north, while open towards the forest and fields to the south and east.
In addition, everything from panels and windows to the kitchen and furniture has been uniquely made for the house.
This project has been longlisted in the house rural category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
