Tarkett has designed Lino Materiale, a new sustainable linoleum flooring made from cork.
The Lino Materiale collection celebrates the linoleum recipe's long heritage and reformulates it to showcase one component in particular: cork.
With the integration of cork flecks in its recipe, this new collection further emphasises the naturalness of the material and its engagement with circular principles.
By integrating waste materials from other industries into the production process, Lino Materiale is designed to be recycled and reused in the next generation of flooring.
The innovative texture represents a step change, with a sensorial finish that brings the calming and restorative qualities of nature into the built environment.
This project has been longlisted in the surface design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
