V&A Design Studio has designed the interiors of Making Egypt, a temporary exhibition designed for the Young V&A in London, England.

The design of the exhibition is underpinned by rigorous research on craft in ancient Egypt and exhibition design for young audiences.

The material strategy explores sustainable approaches to exhibition making, while the exhibition design translates curatorial narratives into an experience that has been crafted through the use of natural regional materials and the collaboration between a range of designers and makers.

In addition, the sustainability strategy of the exhibition maximises re-use, has zero virgin acrylic, incorporates natural materials and includes a disassembly plan.

This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
