Kennedy Nolan has designed the interiors of Melbourne Place, a new independent hotel with fully integrated interiors in the centre of Melbourne, Australia.
The design of this project derives from the particular architectural and cultural identity of Melbourne and the actual site on the East end of the CBD.
Melbourne Place's mass and detail have a 20th-century quality, reinforced by the highly modelled tinted concrete and brick facade.
Sensibilities around space, volume, light, colour, texture and detail are consistent from the urban scale down to the cabinet hardware, each element amplifying and reinforcing the unique character of the place.
This project has been longlisted in the hotel and short stay interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
