Hawkins\Brown has refurbished Multistory, a high-impact, low-carbon workplace set across two floors in Birmingham, England.

Hawkins\Brown was commissioned by developers V7 to renovate the external facade and two entrances to adjacent early 1960s buildings, 2 Colmore Square and Cannon House.

In addition, there was a request to combine the ground and lower ground floors into one dynamic amenity space for the six storeys of workspace above.

The brief was to provide a workplace for the future, a best-in-class offer for tenants and visitors to the building, creating a welcoming, modern and flexible space, which also fosters physical and mental wellbeing.

The refurbishment embraces a light-touch approach, maximising the repair and reuse of materials while introducing thoughtful design elements that enhance sustainability.

This project has been longlisted in the workplace interior (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
