Adept has designed the Norlys EV Charging Parks to redefine roadside infrastructure as engaging, low-carbon destinations offering a people-first alternative to traditional road stops across Denmark.
Designed for Danish energy provider Norlys, this series of EV charging parks rethinks the traditional roadside stop.
Modular, demountable and landscaped for biodiversity, this project features demountable wooden structures, designed for disassembly, biodiversity-rich landscapes and active public spaces that offer more than just charging – they invite pause, interaction, and energy awareness.
With a goal of over 60% of each site dedicated to green surfaces and paving designed for wayfinding, tactility and play, the parks scale from small to extra large.
Public amenities, including playgrounds and science-based installations, support Norlys' vision of a nationwide charging network that connects people across the country.
This project has been longlisted in the infrastructure and transport project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
