Strohtektur has designed Now Lindow, a sustainable vacation home integrated into a permaculture garden in Lindow, Germany.

Now Lindow is the first building following the concept of sustainable, ecological and reusable architecture, featuring nature-based materials, healthy building practices, stunning views and an innovative floor plan for optimal comfort and material efficiency.

The acronym 'NOW' stands for these three values, translated in German into Nachhaltig, Ökologisch and Wiederverwendbar.

Strohtektur, as an architectural firm, creates healthy, beautiful spaces using local regenerative materials, planning and building now for the future.

Showcasing the aesthetics of raw materials and visible building elements, they have made disassembly easy: even foundations are reusable and materials are either reusable or compostable, ensuring nearly zero waste, pointing out the importance of starting Now Lindow as the turnaround in the building sector.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable building category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
