Foster + Partners has designed Osuu for Walter Knoll, a moulded plywood seat, steam-bent dowels and a machined timber structure. 

Osuu is a sculptural timber chair, designed by Foster + Partners Industrial Design in collaboration with the German manufacturer, Walter Knoll.

Featuring a moulded plywood seat, steam-bent dowels and a machined timber structure, the chair's pared-back aesthetic makes it a unique addition for both office and home environments.

In addition, its silhouette and minimalist aesthetic balance craftsmanship with comfort, while an interchangeable seat pad adds flexibility.

Weighing just six kilograms, Osuu is lightweight, adaptable and sustainably made from FSC-certified wood.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
