No Lab Normal Laboratorija has designed the Parents' House in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Roditeljska Kuća (Parents’ House) Tuzla is a facility designed to accommodate children with cancer and their families during treatment at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla.

Elevated on steel columns above the natural terrain, the house preserves existing vegetation and evokes the traditional Bosnian sojenica.

With five residential units, shared kitchen and dining, playroom, and support spaces, the design prioritises daylight, warmth and psychological comfort.

In addition, its southeast orientation, green roof and ventilated façade contribute to energy efficiency.

"This is a project of empathy – architecture as quiet support in the most vulnerable moments of life," said Normal Laboratorjia.

This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
