Zeoform has designed Polar Shelf, a modular shelving system made from waste paper and water.

The Polar Shelf is a fully modular shelving system that combines Zeoform pillars, made from waste paper and water, with aluminium shelves. Its simple geometry makes it easy to assemble, customise and disassemble, with no glues or synthetic binders.

Designed for architects, interior designers and conscious consumers, the shelf shows that even the most basic forms can have a meaningful impact when made with the right materials. Every element has been designed to reduce waste, extend product life and simplify recycling.

The goal was to design a practical shelving system using the simplest possible geometry while integrating regenerative materials into everyday furniture.

The result is a clean, cylindrical pillar system that supports aluminium shelves without glues or synthetic adhesives.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
