Davood Boroojeni Office has designed the Process Department of Shamim Polymer Factory in Eshtehard, Iran.
The Process Department of Shamim Polymer Factory fulfils the concept of optimisation in architecture, in line with the internal function, which is the recovery of polymer materials.
"Our architectural concept visually represents this optimisation, achieving what we call 'vitalisation' in spatial design, reflecting recovery and revitalisation in both form and content," said Davood Boroojeni Office.
The Shamim Polymer factory's machinery produces specific polymer products by enhancing materials and properties.
The building's design mirrors this function, rejuvenating elements through innovative materials, like raw iron sheets used for walls and ceilings.
"We aimed to create distinct narratives for different spaces, driven by inspiration from factory employees whose input was vital in shaping the design to address their needs," added Davood Boroojeni Office.
This project has been longlisted in the workplace project (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
